Ted Williams.

Guy was the greatest hitter of all time, took TWO breaks from MLB to be a fighter pilot in WWII and then Korea, then became one of the most recognizable outdoors-men/fishermen of his day and a legendary prick...and was eventually taken back into the hearts of the people of Boston.

One time, Bob Costas was interviewing Ted and he told Ted, "You know...John Wayne was basically playing you in all those movies." ted's reply, "Yeah, I know."









Biggest problem would be finding a guy who could play him and not look like a complete idiot while trying to swing the bat like him.
