We are saying he scores around the basket. So no one is disagreeing with you.
Doesn't mean he can "shoot". You should watch a game bubba

Did I ever make any claims about him being a great shooter? No. You sure like to put words in people's mouth.

I watched him play almost every game for 2 full seasons. Seen him play more than you. You stop talking out of your behind.

Oh please, you probably didn't even know who he was until January.

You don't have to shoot off the dribble jumpers to be successful. He can spot up and hit jumpers. And he gets to the basket at will. That translates into pretty good offensively most of the time

Are you McNamara or phelps alter?

Ok.
Then we agree. He is a relentless defender who is great in transition and scoring around the basket

I completely agree. But he shot just 21.1% on jump shots and only 18% on catch and shoot opportunities, which is basically spot up jumpers.
Sure, in college he was able to get to the rim at will. He was the best athlete on the court every game. He still will be able to get to the rim pretty well in NBA, but all teams are going to do is sag off him, cut him off at the lane, and make his shot the jumper. Which he hasnt shown yet.

Thats exactly what Oladipo is.

Still didn't answer me. Who would you pick over him? We need help to stop 30+ scoring against us in quarters and 62 point scoring in halves.

Trey Burke
What are your thoughts on him?

Personally not a fan. He doesn't make the defense better. If we draft him, might to get rid of Gordon, get someone bigger and longer who can rotate at the two. Though Gordon is a good on ball defender, he is undersized for his position too. Get a three who can rotate and defend really well, also. Burke doesn't pressure the ball well. Doesn't rotate well on defense. His offense is nice and will put up points and assists but opposing guards that are good will put up the same or better against him just like guards did against Vasquez this year. Burke is a marginal upgrade to Vasquez.
That said, we need to upgrade at the 1.

but 44% from 3 taking 2 3s a game makes me wonder how justified the general criticism of his offense is. 2 guard version of Trevor Ariza certainly seems too negative.
that's what I've been thinking...and plenty of Aminu comparisons, too.
...i don't think it's fair. I see a guy that can attack the rim pretty well off the dribble and knock down shots from outside. His athleticism is a bonus. He has a much higher ceiling than a guy like Porter, imo.

I agree. He might have the biggest upside with Noel and McLemore. Porter has the highest floor in this draft though. You know exactly what you will get from him. But with Dipo, you know you are getting a fantastic defender right off the bat and a guy who shows pretty good offensive potential.

I like the fact that he stepped up and had a big tournament...I wouldn't be upset if they drafted him. I haven't seen him that much though.
Is he really terrible on D? If so, I'm concerned about the same defensive problems continuing, as others have said.

I say the Pels just should not draft. Just pass.
