Mint? Never thought of that. I WILL try it, though, because I've always felt guilty about not liking frozen green peas.
I really like canned LeSeur Early June Peas, though. Go figure.

Most folks in S. La were raised on the Le Suer peas, so that's what we've come to think peas should taste like. Hell, I like them myself.
Guess what? That's not what peas taste like. I read once where a famous chef said there's no need to ever try to seek out or procure fresh peas, because the frozen ones are so close to those and more often than not, much "fresher" because they are frozen right when picked, and none you can typically buy fresh will be as good.
