Most of my family and friends have Leopold and Nikon. They all love what they have but I want better. Are is there better I that price range?

I normally use Nikon and my dad normally uses Leupold. His Leupolds are slightly better but my Nikons are slightly cheaper.
My Swaro is heads and shoulders better than either brands. It retails for around 1k now. However, lots of stores have huge sales on scopes too. I have not used a Zeiss but they get good reviews too.
