This is why i love Directv
i just called them and told them my bill was getting a little to high (all my promotions ended)
and i needed to downgrade my service. Told them i wanted to cancel the movie channels.
The rep said no, i don't want you to do that. How about i give you $30 off your bill for a year and you keep all your channels?
So instead of letting me lose my movie channels to save $40 he lets me keep them and gives me $30 off every month.

eta: i know some of you have directv so i'd call and get this promotion if you don't have one already
