say end speculation

Its not really speculation, the "bridge" schedule is totally lop sided.

The creator of said lop sided schedule is an alum and advocate for the team that got the lop.

Again, it is what it is.

We (speaking for myself and other like-minded SEC fans) don't give a rip about the excuses and justififucation of it. The SEC should not allow this type of BS, but it does.

For our part, speaking for myself and like-minded LSU fans, we just look forward to having another shot at the greatest season of time and closing the deal, bring it the hell on.

Do I mind a tough schedule? no, makes for fun Saturdays.

Do I think an Alabama alum gave his school a soft schedule on purpose? yes, Mark Womack should be beat with a rubber hose.

To me, Alabama's dynasty under Saban will always be tainted because of the rematch and their cream puff schedules.

I don't know if it takes away as much from Bama but all this talk about how they're better than every other team in the SEC is bogus. LSU has been their equal for the past three years. Last year, A&M was also their equal and so was Georgia. My bet is that USC and UF also would have played them straight up. They are not head and shoulders above the league.

We aren't talking about a pussy schedule. We are talking about one team having a laughably easier path to the SEC Championship game and a bias that exists because the people in the conference involved in scheduling have a provable bias towards one team. That is a problem. This is how you get a situation where one team with an incredibly hard conference schedule beats the team with the easy schedule, but the team who loses blows away everyone else on their easy schedule so they get another shot at the team that beat them on their field during the season.

AND we're going to keep cross division rivals. The bridge is just a small piece of corn in a huge pile of shite that is the 14 team SEC and all the garbage it brings to the table in football.

it's as clear as can be and your post sums everything wrong with the new SEC. personally, i was all excited about expansion and now i see it is a pile of shite and we may pile it on even more in the future. trying to keep the traditional rivalries at the expense of everything else is wrong and hurting the SEC big time. i wish we had stayed at 12. we screwed the pooch and may be killing the goose that layed the golden egg. and if the SEC keeps kissing bamas arse we may well end up like the big 12.

If there would have been the push last year for the team that proved it on the field to play in the title game, Florida should have gone over Bama. They went 3-1 against the Big 6 and bashed FSU to end the season. Far more impressive regular season than Bama. As Bama kept arguing in 2011, UF shouldn't have had to win the SEC to get to Miami.

I wished Bama would have had to rematch against UGA and the game just didn't count. Damn ND. Would have been hilarious.

I just don't think it was coincidence that UGA was taken off the schedule. As noted, many possibilities could have happened.

Overall they need to get rid of permanent opponents.

Still did more than Bama in the regular season. UF's excuse is the same as Bama's Sugar Bowl loss to Utah, and thus doesn't count.

I'll admit I want my team's losses not to count and have a Pac 12 schedule with the SEC name. Who wouldn't?

It will be nice to earn it in 2013 though.

Bama was outplayed that night based on yardage, outcomes are of little consequence. That was what we learned the year before.

This schedule stuff is a waste of time. The LSU administration should have made thief point when the SEC wanted to add aTm and Mizzou. Vote no until they agreed to kill the UT/Bama and auburn/UGA waste of weekend TV time. The league wanted a united front on expansion or none at the time of the invite to aTm/Mizzou. College Football would have not missed those two rivalries playing every year. We don't have strong enough leaders for this to happen.

Fairness is something we all would like to see, but we never will. The SEC began with a core group of teams. The SEC still serves that core group.

The newer members will have to live off the crumbs of it's established members. That is the way it is. Always will be. When these members start beasting a little, then they might get a little more provision. But not until.

Perhaps the two newest members might have some say over who fills the remaining two spots to reach 16 teams--but I doubt it!

That is because the SEC league office is self-serving. Power is a beautiful thing if you have it. But it sucks if you don't.

I hate Bama as much as the rest of you. But the good-ole-boy network doesn't give a sh*t! Just like they can have their own rules for math!

Just keeping it real here! Civil people don't see things this way, but this is how the redneck views the world.

All this discussion is but a diversion from the real issue. The real issue is BAMA rednecks run the SEC office! Glad to see that this is being exposed.

Question: Do you believe in your heart/mind that in 2011 bama and Lsu were the 2 best teams in the country?

Well, we'll never know because we never got to see the Big 12 Champion play against the SEC Champion.

What is this hearts/mind bullshite??? Wasn't the BCS created to eliminate all that pussy bullshite and settle it on the field??

LSU beat Bama on the field. OKS had the same record as Bama, beat more ranked teams, and won their conference. They earned the chance to play LSU. Period.

Isn't that how the SEC became respected as the most dominant conference, by beating the best the others have to offer on the biggest stages??

Your team benefitted from ESPNs ridiculous notion that they could duplicate CBSs record breaking ratings from 11/5. Unfortunately for ESPN, LSU, OKS, and every other college football fan NOT from Tuscaloosa, ESPN was as stupid as they were shameless in pimping that matchup, which is why no one outside of Bama or LA saw that sham of a rematch and it was the lowest rated BCSCG of all time.

Congrats to you and your team, you were clearly the better team that night and won the game. And yes, if the situation was reversed, LSU would have taken the opportunity with a smile, although deep down you know it would never have happened for us. But we would have done so knowing full well it was bullshite and that a more deserving team was getting screwed over.

So don't give me that hearts and minds bullshite. OKS was a very good team that beat a tougher schedule than you did, and watching them destroy OU while you were sitting your asses at home on SECCG weekend should have punched your ticket to play Michigan in the Sugar Bowl while the SEC and Big 12 Champs played for the crystal ball.

Your titles in 2009 and 2012 still make you the premiere program in the country right now, even despite the scheduling disparities that you've clearly benefitted from to get them, but that 2011 title is a sham.

Looking forward to returning to BDS to the site of the GOTC to hopefully "restore the order" that we proved on 11/5.
