Anybody here know if Jojo Mayer?
On my phone, so can't link at the moment, but pull him up in YouTube.
Dude does some wild stuff.

I'll vote for Mark Smith of American Analog Set. Also, a shout out to Cary Bonnecaze.
The best modern drummer is Bryan Devendorf of The National.

Good call on Muse's Howard. Phil Selway (Radiohead) is excellent, especially live, but I think he's overlooked, if not underrated.

I'm thinking Dave Grohl more from QOTSA and Them Crooked Vultures, more than Grohl from Nirvana.
I love the way he writes.

Another one of my all time faves. The king of New Orleans 2nd line/soul/funk drumming.

The Doors certainly weren't underrated, but I think maybe John Densmore was as a drummer.
Riders on the Storm, The End, LA Woman, etc... all had great percussion.

Nothing flashy, Charlie Wattsesque in some ways.
Good call, he had a GREAT sound.
