Fox is legit here.
If it's not a Vader/Luke scene in ROTJ, it's fricking worthless.

Jedi was a good movie other than the Ewoks.
As many of you probably know, the original concept was Wookies, not Ewoks, which would have been bad arse.
But Lucas gonna Lucas.

Completely agree. It's almost a remake of Star Wars. Should have left Kirshner and Kurtz in charge.

I don't think ROTJ is as bad as many on here do. It has a lot of great qualities. Jabba's palace really fleshed out the SW universe, adding many new alien species. The rancor and sarlaac scenes were well done. Yoda's death was touching. The speeder bikes were great, and the so was the space battle. And of course, the Emperor and the Vader/Luke scenes were great, too.
It has its flaws, but it also has a lot to like, too.

It really is just Star Wars 2.0
If you remove the throne room scenes, there is nothing of substance
So many instances of Lucas exploiting images of the first movie, and even of I am being unfair (which I'm not) than the first 2 are at the very least in another stratosphere than Jedi

Fox, you have solidified your status as the board's party-pooper.
To shite on any part of the original trilogy is just sacrilege.

The empire strikes back is my favorite movie bar none.
Jedi sucks, it's hard to accept even now.

I just don't understand why the rebel fleet didn't retreat at the first sign of the sheild generator being up.
Surely retreating and picking a better time to attack would have been better than losing 2 capital ships in what could have ultimately been a failed attack.
I think Akbar really made a huge mistake but Solo's team pulled his arse out of the fire.
And why was Lando even leading the snub fighter attack? He just joined the alliance and is suddenly a squadron leader?

I've said all I can say about Jedi in my "review" I just wanted people to know why I hate this movie and i didn't even touch on the discombobulated ending sequence, lando's character, the lighting, editing, etc...Jedi completely lacks excitement.

This was their only chance. If the Endor mission failed, and there was not going to be another opportunity like that. They had no choice but to wait on the outcome of the scout team's mission.

Well, the Alliance was a pretty rag-tag group. Even Luke, who had presumably never even flown in space, was in command of at least two other ships at the end of Star Wars.

Damn it must suck to be you. Can't even enjoy a good, classic movie without analyzing the frick out of it. I feel sorry for people like you.

They were pinned in by all of the Star Destroyers blocking their exit.

The Death Star was already operational, though, which changed a whole lot. At that point, Lando was right. Their only chance was to see if Han could pull off a miracle and turn off the generator because if they waited until later a) the Death Star would be fully constructed and no longer exposed to an interior attack and b) they might escape with a quarter of the fleet that they arrived with so any future attack would be a joke.

Good thing they did make that decision. Lando's decision to engage the Star Destroyers at point blank range was brilliant!
