I would rather lock a solid LT in for a cheaper 5 year deal (first rder gives the team the 5th year option) than a defensive player regardless of how bad our D may or may not be.

That's why I'd go Johnson. If he is who you think he is Brees blindside protected for remainder of career at reasonable price.
