UPDATE: Finally pulled the trigger and planted a Celeste Fig and Moro Blood Orange Tree yesterday. The Fig went in fine, the Orange not so much. First dig i hit the sprinkler pipe. Had to cover back up and moved the tree up a few feet. Hit roots from old pear that blew down during the hurricane before i moved into the house. Took me about an hour to dig down and cut out and pull out all the roots.

I also bought 2 blueberry bushes (brightwell and premier) that i will be planting today. I am planting them 6' apart. I am thinking about planting 2 strawberry and 2 blackberry bushes in addition, in the back along the fence line. And maybe a couple apricot trees or something in the middle and one day putting a bench between them.

Check your soil with the blueberries. They just don't grow everywhere. They like acidic soil, and if the ph is not right, do not do well, but you may have a blueberry orchard next door, Dunno
