I'm not saying it's a fact, I'm just throwing it out there. I honestly don't know. Most of the ideas I put out there are ideas I'm sorting through in my head at that moment. I like the idea of him as a bastard because it adds a new level of intrigue to it all, but it doesn't really feel right to me. It's probably something like a recessive gene, some have it, some don't. Still, I want Dany's statement that he wasn't a TRUE Targaryen to mean something.

Of course, it could be a whole lot simpler. Immunity to fire may not translate to immunity to the heat from molten metals. Of course, that brings up a debate about what immunity to fire actually MEANS. That's why I was curious about wildfire, which seems a lot like napalm. Similar, but not quite the same.

this is something i struggled with in S1. I think immunity to fire is different from immunity to molten metal. imagine dany getting that shite dumped on her i cant imagine her coming out fine and dandy
