Y'all can play lawyer ball all you want, it's a fact that the Marlins have been more successful than the Braves since both teams have existed.
Edit: The Mets too.

Th Cleveland Spiders are what would happen if a bunch of guys on the street formed a MLB team. Their record is safe.

That's the equivalent of saying the Miami Heat have been more successful than the Boston Celtics since both teams have existed.
Yeah it's true but only an idiot think the heat are more successful.
/don't watch baseball.

Is that what I said or are you just deflecting my point?

The MLB equivalent would be the Yankees or maybe the Cardinals, NOT the Braves.

The Braves are 1,836-1,339 since 1993. The Marlins are 1,504-1,670. Quit being a dumbass

# of titles was not the point I was making.
My point was that picking the formation date of team A, which was founded less than 25 years ago, as the starting point of measuring success and ignoring the rest of team Bs history is stupid.

So your stance is that championships are the only way to measure success?

Minnesota football > UF football

Technically, this isn't true.

The Gophers have four AP trophies. Gators have 3.
All about the hardware
All about the hardware

Well, that's not what happened. I'm talking about the 1899 Spiders were essentially guys pulled off the street. The owners bought the St. Louis Browns and shipped all of their players to St. Louis but kept operating a team in Cleveland for kicks. They were, quite literally, a team that was not trying to win. They were grabbing guys from the minor leagues, but back then, the minors were independent and competed for talent, so most players preferred to stay in the minors than play for the Spiders.
Miami has absolutely no chance of breaking the record. None.
