i think if it happened, there's a few different ways it could work. When Santi played number 10 with Giroud we practically functioned as a 4-4-1-1 without the ball. his defensive duties were minimal and he roamed wherever the frick he wanted. Suarez could certainly do that. Obviously he could play no 9 or out wide too. thing is, santi and rosicky are our top 2 no 10s at the moment. jack just hasn't shown the ability to be successful there as of yet, though he may get more chances. i would imagine you won't see much of a midfield three of arteta-ramsey-jack.

kos and per had a pretty bad arse partnership the second half of the year. only team that gave up less goals than us last season was Man City. i'd imagine if you looked at pairings based on goals/minute played together (which obviously isn't everything) they'd have rated the best in the EPL last year. problem could be injuries (ALREADY). TV5 and Monreal both have back issues that will keep them out until October in all likelihood. We will need to buy a CB for sure.

That said, Suarez would certainly make us title contenders. And we have a couple more signings to make.

Suarez can play any of the front 4 positions. He has paired with another striker multiple times throughout his career..some have worked, others haven't. He has thrived with Sturridge and he and KJH killed the Eredivisie. But, he and Cavani have never partnered well for the national team, and he really struggled with Carroll.

He's best as a 9 or false 9, imo. I wouldn't pair him with Giroud, though Giroud is certainly good in link-up play. I'd surround him with a creative player (Coutinho/Cazorla) and a pacey finisher (Sturridge/Walcott).
