Looking for a place to eat dinner Saturday night.

Or should I opt for one of these new joints I've been hearing about.

Or is there a place that fits both criteria?

TIA

Juban's had a charcuterie plate a while back, and it was so average. Only place I've ever seen in BR that had one.

IPO is mainly tapas, hit and miss from what I have experienced.

beausoleil has been good

Beausoleil seems to get more consistent reviews than IPO. LA Lagniappe also gets a lot of love.

You'd have better luck getting a reservation at Dorsia

I've been three or four times, great food. Probably my favorite restaurant in BR right now.

Bacchus Bistro on Highland has a charcuterie on the menu. Was pretty good the only time I had it. Other tapas and cheese boards as well.

Wine bar/tapas place. Get some other opinions in it before you commit. Only been a few times and was good enough. Think Martini might be in the know on the low down.

Off highland near Blue Bayou, not really the same area you were asking about. Worse case Ruffinos is just down the street.

not bad looking at all brother

I think I'm just spoiled on charcuterie/salumi here in Nola. Several really good places for it. My buddy coming in from Houston is the one really wanting it though. He had it at Root and went nuts for it.
