The Walking Dead Official Comics and Speculation Thread ***Spoilers***
Posted on 4/2/13 at 1:13 pm
Posted on 4/2/13 at 1:13 pm
Warning: This thread could contain information from TWD comics that stand a slight chance, possibly, of being spoilers for the show.
With all the changes there have been on the show, can the comics any longer be considered predictive of events on the show?
With Andrea dying and the Governor living for now, there is no telling where the show is going.
Of course, I will still refrain from posting comic info the the show threads, just in case.

That request was denied, and as I stated in my post, I will still refrain from posting comic info in show threads. This thread is to discuss how divergent the show is from the comic.
eta: perhaps I can word the thread title better.

As someone who has not read the comics I am curious as how the Woodbury/Prison ordeal ended in the comics. Anyone want to post their synopsis?

An interview link with Kirkman in the season finale thread said comic readers will still be familiar with the direction of the show in season 4.
I'm going to TRY to approach season 4 as independent of the comics. My anticipation of what occurred during the prison arc in season 3 was shattered, so I'm not going to expect any events that I looked forward to in the future.

No problem
just got a chuckle from the title. Are spoilers spoilers?

There are still some details that could be spoilers in the future. Certain villains, general storylines, etc..
As far as fates of the main characters? I don't think that'd be spoilers anymore as most of the characters on the show are so different now.

We are in a spoiler thread so I will answer your query.
To put it in the most basic terms, when the Governor and Woodbury attacked the prison a lot of people were killed, including Lori and her baby with a single shotgun blast. The girl from Woodbury, named Lilly, that shot Lori was so upset she had killed a baby she then shot the Governor through his remaining eye. The prison was abandoned by the survivors and they headed back out on the road.
eta: I attempted to answer your question without giving away everything that happened and who all died, but that information will come out below, so if you want to read the comics some day and have some surprises left, you should exit the thread now.

And Tyrese, who had been Ricks right hand man since before the prison was found, was sloppily beheaded.

W Dog would randomly show up right before it happens.

If they show the hunters and how cannibilistic they are then I'll be shocked.
If they killed the baby, I'd be shocked. I'd be really shocked.

I think it'd be interesting if they make the Governor, Martinez, and the rest of that remaining group into the Hunters.
Also, with Andrea dead who is going to be the group's sharpshooter now? And who is going to hook up with Rick in the future?

Those other two aren't eating anybody. Governor may be that crazy.

With a little time on the road without the safety of Woodbury's walls who knows what they may do.

Could be. There has to be a reason she's lived so long on the show.

Posted on 4/2/13 at 1:38 pm to PsychTiger
They made her like 15 in the show

Posted on 4/2/13 at 1:41 pm to Murray
At what point is Carrol going to turn in to the freak and start trying to bang everyone?

Not that Rick gives a shite but the age of consent in Georgia is 16. Make that girl a birthday cake and bang away Sheriff.
