cool - yeah I've been working on CS'ing like crazy lately, that's one of the reasons I'm so freakin' good at top lane - because I have figured out how to CS with Trydamere really well.
I'm starting to learning it with sivir, but I'm only on my 4th game with her now.
The big thing I need to learn is reading my Support to tell if I need to push, or fall back more - because of Trydamere being one of my better champions, I'm actually a lot better at playing passive for the first 20 minutes, but that doesn't work when your support keeps crashing on the other team.

With enough experience you learn which marksmen and supps are good at level 1.
Ideally you want to be parallel with your supp. If he's in the bush you need to be in lane along the same line as him.. not behind or in front of
