So what rolls with ADCs in the bottom lane once I get past Intermediate Bots?!
I really like the idea of team work, and if I'm enjoying ADC as much as I have been, it appears most of the time I'll be working "with" someone most of the time.

That's what Mears post contains.
Ap = ability power.
Velkoz, morgana, Annie are AP supports
Alistair and leona are tanky crowd controllers
Blitzcrank and thresh have a lot of CC.
Nami and soraka are healers
You will rarely get someone who voluntary supports with a real support though. At low levels they will just pick any character they want.
That is OK though. Anything can work as long as you play correctly.
