SSB beat SSW 3-1 in both 5-game series this year.
SSB is weaker early game, but is a better coordinated team and performs better strategically and in team fights.
SSW is more aggressive and tends to snowball early leads.

The NA teams got unfavorable matchups. Obviously.

TSM has a stronger early game and isn't as strong in team fights or objectives.
They would have preferred to play SSB instead of SSW.
C9 has a lack-luster early game and excels at strategic objectives and team fights.
Yet, they drew SSB instead of SSW.

The group stage matches of c9 vs NWS show that NA at least can compete with the middle tier Korean teams. They did lose the series 2-1, but they didn't look like they were out of their league and had a fighting chance.
However, SSB/SSW are the best of Korea, and they should probably advance to the Semis.

I think C9 has some confidence now that they've had a few games against the Koreans "non-scrims".
TSM on the other hand, has not played the Koreans in the WC yet. Bjergsen's vlog indicated that they thought they would have to try something different than their standard matchup in order to beat SSW.
I think they've seen during their scrims vs SSW that they can't win straight up (either due to superior scouting/analysis/coaching of SSW to scheme against TSM, or just simply due to skill or team ability).

I'll go with SSB over C9 either 3-1 or 3-2.
I'll go with SSW over TSM either 3-0 or 3-1.
Basically, I think C9 will have a better result.

Ehhhh. I wouldn't go that far. They were known for being the most aggressive team in NA for a long time. They've adjusted their playstyle to the meta and have started playing slower, but they can still pull out a nasty early game if the need arises.

ETA: NWS isn't "middle-tier". They qualified as the 3rd best Korean team. They beat KTB, KTA, and SKT (only dropping a single game out of 10) to qualify. Definitely not middle tier. They aren't Samsung, but they're definitely the 3rd best team in Korea. When you consider Korea has like 24 teams, you can't really say the 3rd place team is "middle".

He said they might have to try new things because they scrimmed each other like 20 times before groups. He never said anything about indication of wins or losses. He simply said they'd have to come up with new strats since White has seen most of them from scrimming them so much. In a Korean interview, Locodoco actually said results with White and Blue were fairly even, but that for some reason TSM has a hard time playing with the same mindset on stage as they do in scrims.
