In soloq you've never played with anyone on your team before. The only way of communicating is through pinging and typing. Depending heavily on teammates to do what they're supposed to do will end up with you losing more than winning. I learned that the hard way.
From what I've seen from pro games on YouTube, they tend to maintain a somewhat neutral lane and use that balance to get their opponent in range to poke.

Got Quinn for the first time. Didn't really get to mid/late game.
Weak pretty early, so I had to sit near tower, but out farmed everyone.
Not really sure about the ult cuz I didn't get to use it but twice.
Felt pretty natural and fun.
