Yeah will be interesting to see how it maintains clocks while gaming, I see a 3900x in benchmarks usually only do about 4.2ghz while gaming. Maybe if the new 3900XT can hold 4.7ghz (or even 4.5ghz), that'd be pretty sweet.

I seat around 4.3 with boost during loading at 4.5/4.6. I'm under water with a custom loop, keeping me below 50C under load. I know temps effects boosts big time.

Edt: When is release date?

No way the 3900XT holds boost 500MHz higher than the 3900X. If that is the case, I will change the chip out. But don't think they are advertising that, just 100-200MHz higher clocks.
