To think we're getting a 12 core Ryzen with 3.8ghz base 4.6 boost for $500 is just mind boggling at 105 watt TDP. You literally have to spend twice that for a 12 core 2 year old Intel i9-7920x which is 2.9 base 4.3 boost (for 1 core)...and that's a 140 watt chip

Intel has to be collectively crapping themselves

For sure, Intel is in a rough spot for the foreseeable future.

Looks like they are now behind in IPC, gaming, power draw/efficiency and multicore workload applications and all of this at much much better price points. There is literally no reason for the next year+ to buy an Intel cpu for any use.
