We got around 12inches. I got the data drives though, I at least had enough foresight to grab that and my externals so all good there. My PC was stationed in our kitchen in a corner desk just barely off the floor which is why much of the components were ruined.

--Coyote--Thank you very much for the offer but I am going to pass. The idea of a card that is more energy efficient and brand new is more appealing to me after looking over all factors.


eta : I really did not plan on overclocking at all. I am not a water cooled guy. Could you elaborate on if you would suggest the unlocked one if I am not going to overclock it and, what are the gaming advantages for the AMD Ryzen sku's ?

I agree with new Arch. You will get driver support for longer but the 1060 is a pretty weak card moving forward. Maybe look into spending just a little more if you do ever plan on getting a 1440 or 2160 monitor. If the deal is to stick with 1080 you will be fine.
