Amazon switcharoo performed, now I have two hynix cards, and the highest Fire Strike score of all the 4770k/2x 290 scores.
What did this cost you?

Nothing. Ordered a Tri-X, switched serial numbers, put the Tri-X cooler on my Sapphire reference card with the Elpida, claimed it defective, and Amazon gave me a UPS label.
I know, I'm a bastard. But I consider it more of a hit against Sapphire, one of the worst GPU AIBs in the industry when it comes to warranty service. I claimed it defective so that Amazon would return it to Sapphire. The elpida couldn't OC past 1450 and would still occasionally lock up in a couple of games unless I was running it stock. Now I have another Hynix card and have so far pushed both to 1700 with no issues. Haven't even tried higher yet. The core clocks top out at about 1240mhz because of power delivery I believe, because at a certain voltage threshold it doesn't affect the power draw. I put +300mv on it for shits and giggles and it still artifacts at 1250.
