shite, that sucks. And it reminds me that I need to buy a surge protector ASAP.
I have this one in my room:
I had my monitors, computer, a couple of other minor things connected to it. But after I added the 280x to my main rig, the breaker couldn't handle it, so I ran an extension cord through the wall to plug my rig into the living room outlet. Didn't have a spare surge protector, though. Decided to just plug it in and get one the next day. Totally forgot about it.
That's a good PSU you have, though. I would be very surprised if it killed any of your hardware.

I hope you are right. For nearly 400 bucks it better protect my stuff.
So any ideas how I can avoid this in the future? Will a failing PSU cause the breaker to to trip? I mean I know I'm running the PSU pretty hard since it is mining nearly 24/7 but I still expected more than 2 months life out of it.
