that's what I was hoping. I hope it works. Whats involved in changing sockets? Requires a lot of trail and error huh?

Precision is the biggest factor from what I have read and watched. The new sockets I ordered already come with the ball solder on them so it's just a matter of cleaning the old area off once you get the socket off and lining the new one up properly before you heat it up.

Other things, like an Borken Xbox, would require you to remove the CPU and reball it yourself. I will get into that eventually as well.
