Recruiting has nothing to do with what was left by the previous coach.
Hard to convince recruits to come and play for an awful team. The state of the team and program is something that recruits care about. You're wrong.

So what has Johnny jones done exceptionally well with what was left to him?
How can anyone not say that his first year wasn't far beyond expectations......

The #1 pg in the country just signed with SMU. Consensus top 20 players signed with teams like unlv and seton hall. But yea, go ahead and keep living in your alternate universe.

Exceedingly easily. No significant improvement from previous year's record. No postseason at all when previous season ended in NIT. Anyone that says that is "exceptionally well" and "far beyond expectations" needs to examine the possibility of raising their expectations and stop settling for mediocrity.
