t seems like if its a priority for moms and grandmoms being able to attend his games and watching him live rather than on TV then he might be a tiger
well, if that was a priority, he would still be at st. aug. so doubt that will be a determing factor.

@TheRecruitScoop: LSU has offered 2015 PG Corey Sanders of IMG Academy (FL). The Tigers offered his teammate, Dwayne Bacon, last night.

Looks like you guys will be getting Devin Mitchell

Yeah from the tape I saw that guy can really light it up

He's definitely a spot up shooter. We're putting together a really good class much like y'all had last year

Guess that means Grant is safe
But on a serious note I like him as a coach, and I agree the class is well rounded and shaping up nicely.
CJJ and company seem to be stoking up for 2015, And our new recruiter McCray is making huge strides in GA as expected.
LSU could have a really small class like 1 or 2 but I am confident the class will be good.

Grant has to be able to score and keep his kids on the team. Then he'll be fine.

Yeah with these guys plus our incoming transfers, he's safe. And I loved the hire by Jones to get McCray on staff. Such a smart move with all the talent Georgia has.

I think we'll take 2-3, more possibly if big names want in. I'll guess Magee, Keys and Victor. I know everyone has been saying Arizona for Victor, but if it's true he wants his mom and grandma's opinion on where to go to school, I think they'll want him in state. Big name guys would be Exum or Black.

Highly doubt we get Black and no longer even think we are in the running for Exum, think the leader right now for him is the NBA IMO.
I think Keys while a good talented instate player, peiple keep saying grades, and I dont know if he is quite there as opposed to Thompson.

Yeah, I know we're longshots for Black and Exum. Didn't know Dante was probably going to declare though. The draft has not been kind to players coming out of highschool recently.
ETA: or whatever it is in Australia.

Yea but not a whole lot of international young guys that have come out as high schoolers have the same background and degree of skill he has.
Father played at UNC, he is well known in America and by NBA scouts.
Has atleast 1 year if not two on even the youngest one and done college players.
Truthfully has experience on the international stage playing against top competition, and the NBA team that drfts him doesnt have to worry whether he wants to come over and play right away. He has an NBA ready game for a SG.

So who do you think we finish with this year?
Posted on 8/7/13 at 4:42 pm to BobBarker
While it is very early I will give it a shot on my prediction and opinion although I usually defer to S and Ouaron for this sort of thing, I just compile the list and who we offer
We have two seniors so that is at the very least two scholarships available. The thing is I do not see anybody on this year's team that would be asked to leave or transfer, however that can always change depending on who we have that wants in. I cannot say whether JOB3, Martin, or anybody else would go pro or leave without first seeing at the very least non-conf play.
Depth Chart for 2014 by class as it stands now:
PG: Hickey(SR) Quarterman(SO)
SG: Morgan(JR) Hornsby(JR)
SF: Hammink(JR) Martin(SO)
PF: O'Bryant(SR) Bridgewater(SO) Mickey(SO)
C: Odo(SR) Malone(SO)
So off of that you definately need atleast one more guard, preferably a combo guard. If O'Bryant, Martin, or Mickey were to leave early, then a need down low for sure.
My predicted 3:
PF James Thompson 6'9 (205) Baton Rouge
PG/SG Jeff Newberry 6'2 (175) JUCO
PF Ray Kasongo 6'9 (235) Canada
My Darkhorse/Player to Watch
Jonah Bolden 6'9 SF/PF that is a Top-10 talent from Australia that I just saw recently on TD, that I think could be a can't miss recruit, that may become a priority.
Hope this helps, and welcome any other suggestions, comments, or predictions, from some people in the know.

So you think we're out of it with Victor? Damn. But I'll be happy with Kasongo and Thompson. Need to do some research into Newberry. And what about Dominic Magee?

Just read an article on him. Looks really promising and he's connected to Patrick. Hopefully we jump on him and establish a relationship before the power houses take note.
Also, the next few years look really promising instate. We should be good for years to come.

I saw a little film on Bolden. He reminds me of Nicolas Batum from the Portland Trailblazers. I'd really like to see more of him. Definitely a guy to keep an eye on.
Also, what connections does he have with Patrick?

His connections go far beyond anything we know, from what I have seen, he almost knows every young talent in Australia, and deals with the youth teams.
I like the Batum comparison to Bolden, I also saw a lot of similarities between Otto Porter recently of Georgetown.
Do I think we get Victor honestly no, would I be shocked if we did no, just think he is Zona bound. And yes look on Jeff Newberry's listing on the first page. He is the real deal, and could start at many places as their D-1, but was a grade casualty. I think we land Newberry no matter what. The situation with Victor is wait and see, if we get him awesome, but dont want to accept a commitment from Thompson or Kasongo if we are still in it for Victor.
I am hoping we only accept two schollies
, Newberry and Bolden call it a day.
