I'm with you. I've had brunch there twice now on Sundays after football games and both times I left unimpressed. The waitstaff is full of hot girls .. other than that, I can't see the appeal of this place. Food was not good (burger first time .. crab cakes benedict second time) and the service was mediocre at best.

You would think from the praise it gets that it would at least have a unique atmosphere or some tradition to it, or be in a favorable location, but it might as well be in an old Denny's situated in an industrial park. It amazes me how receptive people in BR can be to mediocrity (and I realize that last sentence may draw me some fire

Do people really praise it that much? I don't know anyone who considers it an elite eatery.

They do a solid brunch with a wide variety of items. It's also popular for the cheap wings and beer on Thursday. But the regular dinner menu is pretty meh. And the building could really be dozed and rebuilt.

A lot its popularity has to with it being one of the only restaurants near a largely residential area.
