It's all irrelevant other than bragging rights. As long as we stay top 8 consensus we get the national bid, host our way to Omaha, and get to wreak havoc on the other seven. That trophy is the only poll we need to be first in.

Since starting conference play NC State has lost 7 of their last 12 games. I don't see UNC having a problem taking 2 of 3. As far as Georgia Tech, they've lost 4 of their last 8 and 4 of the last 10 since conference play started. I know it's early in the season, but GT will have a problem with UNC even at home IMO. I understand your point that they may not be cakewalk series wins, and I agree. In fact I will be pulling for NC State, Georgia Tech, Clemson and Virginia. I want the Tigers to have that #1 seed in Omaha.
