Download Zillow for your iPad or iPhone. Works great on an iPad. That's all you need. Only talk to a realtor if you have to.
Also check out for sale by owner. If you find a home on this site you don't need a realtor. Just decide on your Mortgage company and they will handle everything and you will save $$$ in realtor commissions.

Hi-jack question. I have been working with a buyer's agent for about a month now looking at homes. He has invested several hours and days helping me and showing me houses. I recently found a house on the FSBO website that I like. What is the general protocol here? I haven't paid him a dime (seller is supposed to pay his fees) and would feel terrible just dropping him after the time he has invested in me. First time home buyer and just not sure what to do here. TIA.
