If you go to the Ole Miss game this year...

they have started a new parking policy. You must have a parking pass to park on campus and will be assigned a certain area to park. If you don't have a parking pass, you will have to park off campus and walk or catch a shuttle to campus. They will make some passes available for visitors if there are any left. Also cars will no longer be allowed to park on sidewalks. You will be able to drop off stuff if you tailgate in the Grove, but will then have to exit campus to park.

Do these new rules apply to all games or just the one against LSU?

I attended the Texas vs Ole Miss game this past season and was blown away by all the "ATTRACTION" I seen in the Grove!!! It took 30 minutes to walk from one corner of the Grove to the other. With all the stares I recieved I don't know if all the hotties found me attractive or they were just wondering what the hell I was wearing LSU apparrel for!!!!!!!! Glad I didn't get my arse whipped!

You really weren't in any danger. The Ole Miss women aren't that tough or aggressive and the guys are pu$$ies.

Thanks for the info, very much. Since I had to move over here, I try to go to the LSU games against OM or State. My son loves to go, he's LSU, I'm LSU, my wife is Ms.State, daughter in-law is OM, father-in-law is State, so we have fun. They are NOT friendly at the Groove, they look down at us and I can buy and sell them. We have never felt welcome at OM,the Grove. We'll get parking pass if we go this year. Thanks.

What about parking on the road by the baseball stadium?

This is an honest question...I could see this happening.

That's not going to happen.

Applies to all games and anything on campus will require a parking pass is what my Ole Miss friend told me. Said they will check cars Saturday morning if somebody parked on Friday and it will get towed.

This sounds exactly like what LSU tried to do...they wound up backing off quite a bit from it. I wonder if Ole Miss will do the same.

For an O.Miss fan's perspective, is this a big deal, i.e. will it make most fans park & walk/catch the tram? I presume all visitors will have to walk, as it sounds like the tram will not be available. How much funds is this supposed to generate for the A.Dept?

He said the parking pass is $100 for the year and they have 6,600 spaces on campus. Will start with top donor who already have parking passes with donations and work they way down. Weekend pass will probably be $25 if available.

Dude this fricking sucks so hard core ... just another way The University is trying to garner money. I understand some of the reasoning behind i.e. very limited space to park at anyway and becomes to congested, but I find it stupid as shite because there is just as little parking outside as well. I can see it as no other reason but a money grab scheme.
For y'all that had bad experience I'm sorry y'all felt that way but to some extent I understand it more because y'all are LSU and I'd expect MSU to get kinda the same :rivalry: but come find me at my tent and you won't have to worry about that I welcome everybody ... just don't come back to my tent if we lose to y'all though, that's a different story now

You must have been doing the Tim Conway walk if it took 30 minutes. That's why everyone was staring.

Same thing LSU did couple years ago.
Any and all ways they can figure to tax the fans they going to do it.
Tailgating at LSU has suffered as a result of this unfortunately.

Do y'all think the ticket office will sell parking passes for students or should I start looking now for one?
