Yeah, I always print out the groupon. Just seems easier.

Then having someone re-do a card isn't that bad. But I would be upset if I thought I was able to use a Groupon, then wasn't. I don't know if that would qualify as service from hell for me.

It just seems like a misunderstanding to me - for some reason, he thought she should know that giving her his phone meant there was a coupon (if she would have woken up the phone) and she had no fricking idea why he gave her the phone (i would have thought he did it by accident.) He didn't explain it and she didn't ask. Either one would have fixed this problem. And groupon, the company that really is responsible for the mix-up, comped his meal. I don't know why he wrote a bad review of this restaurant when it sounds like he did a weird thing and admits the real problem was groupon anyway.
