Spurs are one of the teams with the camera's. OKC as well. I'm not disregarding your assertion that at a certain point, it comes down simply these 5 are better than that 5. But, I can't blame a team like a Toronto, who knows they'll never compete with a Miami, for exhausting all avenues to close the gap.

Also, in the article he speaks about the apprehension of the actual coaching staff, when it comes to treating the analytics as gospel. It seems almost like there's going to be a civil war in the NBA between the new school and the old school over these issues, kind of like the Mike Trout vs Miguel Cabrera for MVP last year in baseball.

I agree. And i don't think teams should disregard it. Teams with the resources to have it should at least have it on hand. But in the end, we know the team with the best 5 still wins 9 times out of 10.
