Does any one else hate it when they called him James? I know that's his name but in the latter seasons most of the characters, especially Kate and Juliet called him James and it drove me nuts. Jack and Sayid almost always called him Sawyer though. James always felt forced.
Maybe I was/am too invested and picky about stupid things in this show

And there's your answer. They're females, they have to connect emotionally and shite. Just like females IRL probably don't call your bros by whatever nicknames they go by.
