I should have added in that i have 2 little kids, so a day on the river would be nice to have a bimini.
Its a tough decsion, but you guys are more experienced than me. Can you still cast easy from the front deck with the bimini up?

Typically yes. My vote is for a bimini. T-tops don't provide a ton of shade.

Bimini and little kids casting aren't a good combination. I don't have either on my current boat, they just get in the way. What kind of boat is it?

You can, but moving around the boat with a rod becomes difficult. Plus if your rod holders are on the center console, you will probably break some rod tips.

You have no idea how much that shade will benefit you. Get the bimini and remove it if you're going fishing with your buddies. T-tops are nice but they are permenant and really only good for installing radar. I've got several Curados and Calcuttas on the bottom of various lakes and bays that have jumped out the launchers on them. And rods broken in them when somebody catches one in their backcast. So I don't see the storage benefit.
