This is where deputies say Jefferson got involved. When the detective was cuffing Sampson, they say Jefferson and Joe Sharp started punching the detective a number of times.

They also say Jefferson and Sharp tried to block the detective from getting Sampson again, who ran away while the scuffle was going on.

Eventually all three were arrested. Deputies booked Jefferson with resisting arrest by violence.

So, the officer chases and tries to arrest someone for yelling an expletive at him (not a crime), Jefferson allegedly then assaults that police officer, who wasn't chasing Jefferson according to the story. Yet for some reason Jefferson is charged with "Resisting arrest by violence" and not "assaulting a police officer" even though, according to the story, the officers were never chasing him or looking to arrest him.

Seems mighty fishy.

After telling the detective an expletive, he [Sampson] walked away from the detective leading the detective to have to chase him.

Why would a cop chase a guy who did nothing wrong and was walking away from the situation?

I like their accomplice. "Joe Sharp". A likely name for a parking garage hooligan just another funny aspect
