Amazon has some Logitech gaming accessories on sale today. Right now I just have a regular mouse and keyboard so is this a good buy? Is this just for FPS?

I'd go wired. don't have to worry about batteries dying on you or connection failing

I got the g700. It has wired and wireless options. I dig it

Nobody seems to like it on the board but I use the Razor Naga Hex. I like the extra 6 mouse buttons since I have to use the arrow key set up. It has taken a pounding for the last 9 months and no problems.

Razer Lachesis here. Have had it for about 4 years. Still the best mouse I've ever used. I'd stick with wired

I guess I am on the fence here, do I need a gaming mouse really?
Posted on 3/11/13 at 8:19 pm to Mr Gardoki
Not really need it your's does what you want it to. If you are REALLY hardcore in gaming and competing the yes, but for the average game not so much. I have a different need than most so I helps me.

I don't have feeling in my thumb and first two fingers on my left hand so I have to use the arrow keys, the added mouse button keys make up for me not having all the other keys around like a wasd setup.

Can anyone recommend a good cheap mousepad for gaming? Right now I just use my desk.

I haven't used a mouse pad for years.

So your saying doesn't matter?

If you have a high dollar desk it could mess up the finish. I find a mouse pad limits my range of motion.

Do you use the mouse pointer precision setting in windows? I see that's a big FPS issue on forums.

Id Stick with logi and I would just get a less expensive one. I use mine to put certain abilities of whatever game I'm playing on the Xtra buttons. It allows me to have faster reaction time to things. For me it is like an SSD or a DVR..if u never had one it is no big deal..once you do you do not want to go back. Also, I would go wired unless you can afford an option that does both.

I have a razer deathadder.
Two extra buttons are all I need. Its far easier reloading or running by pressing a key on the mouse rather than having to use the keyboard. In CoD games I use one button to drop shot (yea, I'm that guy)
