If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Glinda the good witch of the north in the original and the south in this one?

Shouldn't the Wicked Witch be ugly as shite?

The portrayal of the Wicked witch in the musical Wicked just made her green not Ugly, being Green was bad enough, she had an ugly disposition though.

Wicked is more of a parody though.

I think so, but in the book Glinda is the good witch of the south

Yeah, I could not believe how awful kunis was, she didn't even change her voice. I wasn't even expecting too much from the character because the original portrayal is so fricking iconic and extraordinary are that it's unfair to hold anyone to those standards, but they still fricked it up.

And about kunis' wardrobe. Disney really tried to sexualize this

WTF?

It's just on every level they fricked her up. I mean, maybe only next to Vader, she's probably the most iconic villain of all time, so yeah they set a pretty high bar. But Mila doesn't even change her voice, but then has an extremely jarring evil laugh that is nothing like her voice, not to mention she's now sexy?

The voice, I just couldnt get past it. I sincerely doubt Margaret Hamilton sounded anything like the witch she portrayed .

How can you be an actor if you don't act? This shite is so elementary.

Mila looked great in costume. I can't help but wonder how much better it would have been had Downey Jr stayed on as the Wizard. I've noticed that Franco is very wooden in Raimi films (this, Spiderman). I was shocked how different he was in Pinneapple Express).

Mila was comically awful after the transformation.

I watched Oz this weekend with the wife, and cannot see the appeal of this film. Visually it was good, but it seemed slow throughout and very predictable. For the OP to say it was better than the Hobbit is absurd.

No she didn't. She was sexualized with a digitally animated face. I've seen a dude do a better job with the character.
