He said there were a number of guards/perimeter players available

Just to clarify, from what you remember Demps never got as specific as saying Point Guard rather than Guard or talking about Vasquez getting minutes at SF if they brought another guard in?

I remember him saying they felt like this team has alot of flexibility and alot of the players can play multiple positions. I don't remember all the exact wording around it, but my thoughts were that AR and GV can play 1 or 2, EG is a 2 but could play the 1, RA can play 3, 4, or 5 (in relief of other in foul trouble, and AD & Smiht can play 4 or 5.

more of my conjecture: I was thinking he meant more let's see what available in FA, see if GV continues to improve the rest of this year at PG, see what AR does the rest of the year, and then decide what direction to go in. I think they also want to see what EG does at the 2; if he gets stronger and stronger as the season goes on, he gets in better shape, and can close out games, we'd focus on a PG. If he is weaker (or he is unhappy and they are looking to trade him), maybe we go for a SG in FA and keep developing GV & AR along to try to be in that role. But what we target in FA would depend on what we would get in a trade. Note Dell bever mentioned trading EG, and that is just my conjecture. He talked as if EG would be here long term.
