I'm saying if the bats were the same it would be as tough as it was then to evaluate pitchers because they would be giving up bombs. MLB couldn't get a read on how good pitching was back then because the bats canceled out good pitches. I think the reason we think pitching is better now is because the numbers show up as better. I don't think the arms are any better now than they were JMO
