That's a good strategy. You might also searching for "land tech" "land analyst" "land representative" etc. when searching indeed. What I do is search "land" in Louisiana & Texas. Those are in the land department, but mostly assisting the landman and have much lower qualifications - certainly room for upward mobility. I've been doing this for 16 months and figured I'd be in-house with a truck allowance by now. If things don't change in another 6 months I'm ditching this business for personal injury law.
