He has a bad NC game, just like everyone else on the team, and all of a sudden he sucks and can't cover anything.
People forget the kid was a damn Heisman finalist and had probably the best two year span of a defensive player in CFB history.
You could say the same thing about Teo, however a lot of people on here are saying he was exposed by a team loaded with NFL talent.

I didn't watch the ND-Bama game so I can't comment on his performance in that. I wasn't a huge Teo fan to begin with and was planing on starting a riot if he had won the Heisman.
I don't think Mathieu was a bad as portrayed even in the BCS CG. Bama ran some much taller WR at him and just because a pass was completed does not mean he didn't have decent coverage on the play. It's not like he got burned ala the Denver S v the Ravens. However, I never thought Mathieu was a first rounder to begin with.

and it would be an absolutely retarded argument.
Outside of the NC, he played UNC, West Virginia (x2), Florida (x2), Auburn, Alabama (x2), Arkansas (x2), Texas A&M, Oregon, and Georgia.
He had his best games against elite competition
