Dolo probably isn't as good as Chandler anymore, even before the injury. He's given better performances for the USMNT but Chandler is currently the better player.

I haven't watched Chandler for his club team yet, but his showing against Honduras was about as bad as it gets.

I'm going to chalk that up to fatigue because of travel and weather.

I think using vets on the road like that, guys who know how to prepare their bodies for Central America weather and who have the mental fortitude to fight through fatigue, is the best option.

But Chandler will be our right back in 2014, should we qualify.

As to the original question, Holden is certainly capable of playing a right mid. But he's best in the middle.

With F. Johnson's ability to get forward, I think our best bet is a three man midfield of Bradley, Jones, and Holden, with Dempsey narrow on the left, F. Johnson overlapping him, and a true wide right, hopefully Landon. If not Landon, a Gatt or Zusi or even Eddie Johnson might work, but it needs to be someone who can get to the touchline and swing the ball in. Jones has the ability to cover for Johnson on the left, and Bradley and Holden can hold down the middle as excellent tacklers. Holden can provide, hopefully, the creative impetus out of midfield to play balls forward into feet, while Bradley can spray the long balls, make the driving runs, and be the disruptive force.

That's my dream scenario, anyway.
