Will Cody Glenn eventually become the Sunday starter?

Haven't had a chance to see him pitch yet, but heard the coaches are liking his improvement from last year to this year. Looks like he had a solid outing Tuesday night. If we can close out the weekend with a big lefty that throws with a little velocity, that would be huge IMO. For those of you that have seen him, is he good enough to make the jump to a weekend starter? ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Icongeauxtigers.png)

His problem is his control. He comes across as a Kevin Berry type pitcher, imo. He is going to toss some meatballs over the plate and in the SEC, it won't be for groundouts.
Hopefully he can tighten down on his control issues and he might be worthy of Sunday starts

I think so, kid looked good after he calmed down, after the first inning. Is McCune hurt???

I was rooting for him all offseason, and he really was impressive in his first start. Bonvillian is not a year long solution by any means so someone will step up on Sunday. I think Glenn deserves the start next sunday against Nicholls State. Mainieri said this offseason he was the most improved pitcher, he looks to have his control now.

He really showed an ability to throw his fastball in on the hands of hitters. He was throwing it for strikes and even got a lot of swings and misses on it. He threw his breaking ball for strikes in all counts. I think if he further develops his change up an keeps pounding the zone with quality strikes he has a very good of moving in to the Sunday spot in the SEC.
