Damn, because really everything else fits there.

Population is big enough to support it, huge airport, great weather, beautiful environment/scenery. (Denver that is)

Makes me curious though, would California being broke as frick affect their chances?

I could see it doing well in San Fran.

Other options that might work are Chicago, Indianapolis or Boston.

Probably not given that the ones in Los Angeles and Atlanta were mostly privately financed. If a California city were to get it, L.A. should be at the top of the list.

Well, San Francisco was one of the US cities that submitted bid applications to the USOC before Chicago eventually won out for the US bid.
