Going to agree with this. All of the side characters stand out, but the leads, even Broderick, are underwhelming.
Irons is quite awesome though.

What they got right was it resembling a documentary. Very well done on this respect. It had some stunning scenes that were off-balanced with some very mediocre sequences.

Yeah I'm not shitting on the music but watching LM last night. The music is perfect and every song hits perfectly. Lion king is, like you said, forgettable.
