Love the trainer guy's approach. Keeping everything positive during the early stages.Not sure what the jumping has to do with anything. But, I'm not a trainer.Just gotta pull for JaMarcus, seems like an overall good guy.

It's a tremendous developer of athleticism. He said in the video that he wants JR to do well at teh combine and show the scouts he has alot of athleticism on top of his obvious arm strength.

I'm guessing here, but the NFL has moved a little toward more mobility in qb's, unless you are a top tier pocket passer who can read defenses etc and stay in the pocket effectively.

Basically, trying to make him more appealing to more teams.

The scouts see the jumping as important as it relates to agility, escapability, quick moves, etc.

Anyhow. I love Jamarcus and don't even consider a "Best LSU QB" debate without him. Loved watching him drop back and shrug off a sure sack and make a play downfield. I am often thinking of TM7, Jamarcus, and Chad Jones and hope their careers aren't done. But I also wished that for Cecil for quite a few years.
