If LSU takes care of business on the field, this issue is irrelevant.

People keep saying this, but last year obviously proves this false.

So finishing SEC-3 and beating USC and TAMU isn't taking care of business on the field? LSU got screwed when they took care of business on the field. If your argument is seriously that LSU just needs to play for the national title every year to avoid this issue, I feel a deep sadness for that lack of understanding.
