A young Kareem and Walton would eat Shaq alive.
Yes, that's likely true. And while they were double teaming Shaq, Pete and CJ would rain in about 130 points, while Rudy and Petit would clean up for another 40 or so (depending on who they left unguarded for the double team).

Of course, that would never happen since no one with the privilege of coaching an all-time UCLA team would be stupid enough to double team Shaq. They would put one of Walton or Kareem on him and keep him to a manageable 20-25 points and likely edge him out in rebounding, and let the other one dominate Petit underneath while their perimeter players tried to slow down Pete and CJ with a little help from whoever was on Rudy.

Another note for this fantasy matchup, if coaching got involved we'd be fricked. I'd guess there are literally dozens of schools who could put an all-timer coach on their bench that would coach circles around anyone we've ever had at LSU. We've had some good ones, but no one who has been anywhere close to an greatest of all time conversation. I can think of at least 4 coaches in the game right now (as far as I know) that could probably do it (Coach K, Roy Williams, Bobby Knight if he's still coaching, Pitino . . . could probably name more if I really followed college Basketball any more).

While debating coaches is really a different topic altogether, I have to respond that Dale Brown was no slouch in his prime.

I have to agree with that. Wooden vs the "Freak Defense".
