Who are some guys that might jump into the top 14 picks who are not expected to?

I brought this up because ESPN radio this morning was on the topic of QBs rising and jumping into the top 12 because of the number of teams needing to make splash. Mentioned this draft could see the same type of movement we saw with the 2011 draft when Locker, Gabbert and Ponder were off the board in the first 12 picks. None of those guys were a lock to go that high.

Since we need help and don't need a QB, we have to hope a few teams roll the dice on a QB before we pick. Who are the most likely candidates?

It looks like Geno Smith is inked in the top 10. Here are my dark horses to go in the top 14; I think there's a good chance at least 3 of these guys go before the Saints pick:

Matt Barkley...some team will bite on the USC mystique.

Ryan Nassib...obvious connection with the Bills coach.

E.J. Manuel...Some team will hope for the next RGIII/Russell Wilson/Kaepernick.

Tyler Wilson...big arm on a team that was as lost as Charlie Sheen.

Mike Glennon...The kid is getting a lot of attention...that usually equates to a run up the board.

Tyler Bray...has shown ability in spite of poor coaching.

Who do you think will make a jump???

If two or more QBs go in the top 15, well have a chance at a great pick

Maybe. People were really high on him, but I think he goes lower 1st round instead of top of 1st round. A la Ryan Mallett.

If anyone jumps up, it will probably be a guy link Mingo or Ansah who will kill it at the combine.

It really depends.

1. Kansas City - They need a QB, but if they opt to let Branden Albert walk, Joeckel is the pick here.

7. Arizona - They too need a QB, but if Eric Fisher falls, I expect him to be the pick here. Perhaps even Chance Warmack, that offensive line is atrocious.

8. Buffalo - I would be really surprised if a QB wasn't selected here. New coach and when his boy, Nassib will be there, it'd be tough to pass on I imagine.

Outside of those three, not sure another could go. Then again, no one knows on draft day and I assume there will be plenty of trading.

Not someone who is out of the top 14 and could sneak into the top 14, BUT

As a bigtime riser/surprise I think Eric Fisher leaves the NFL Combine as the Overall Number 1 Player on most Big Boards.

That kid is a damn stud, and people will be stunned when they see him above Joeckel.

The past two years have been great for skill position players. This years draft is loaded on both sides of the line. I do think their will be two skill positions taken in top 14. So this will give us a better chance at one of the top 5 OLB.
